Hey there! Today’s post is about my makeup routine, which has evolved significantly over the years. As a side note, I used to wear heavy makeup when I was younger, but now I prefer a simple and natural look for a more elegant appearance.
One thing I prioritize before applying anything to my skin is the quality of the product. I’ve had a few regrettable episodes with allergic reactions to cheap makeup. Nowadays, most of my makeup is from Chanel, a brand I’ve trusted for many years. Although their products are expensive, they last a long time, and the quality is exceptional, which is essential for me.
Here’s a list of my everyday makeup products:
- Chanel Les Beiges Foundation: This medium-coverage foundation leaves your skin with a nice healthy glow. It’s lightweight and gives a super natural result—your skin but better. It also comes in a wide range of skin tones.
- Chanel Colour Corrector: Its long applicator makes it easy to quickly hide imperfections. The formula does an excellent job while maintaining a natural look.
- Chanel Eyebrow Pencil: I’ve been repurchasing this product since I first tried it. It has the perfect color and thickness, and the little brush on the other side is handy for defining brows.
- Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour (Cocao): I love the shade for its buildable, natural-looking effect. However, I have a love-hate relationship with this product due to its packaging. It’s narrow at the top and wider at the bottom, making it messy if the formula is extended too far. Because of this, I might not repurchase it.
- Chanel Stick Blush (N°21): This lovely buildable rosy shade is perfect and extremely natural due to its creamy, silky, but lightweight formula—a must-have!
- Chanel Retractable Foundation Brush N°103: This brush is my secret weapon for achieving flawless skin after applying foundation. Its design makes it easy to take with you everywhere.
- Chanel Retractable Kabuki Brush N°108: I use this brush to blend my cream blush, bronzer, and loose powder (which I don’t always use, so I didn’t include them in my essentials). Its retractable design makes it easy for touch-ups during the day.
- Chanel Retractable Dual-Ended Eyeshadow Brush N°200: This super-soft, practical brush is ideal for applying eyeshadow. It blends both cream and powder eyeshadows beautifully, making it a definite must-have!
- Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl: I absolutely love this mascara—it creates a noticeable difference while maintaining a natural look, which I adore. Plus, the packaging is stunning!
- YSL Liquid Matte Lip Stain: One of my most-worn products, I love this particular shade (23 Deep Nude) for its non-sticky and lightweight formula. It’s definitely a booster—after applying it, you’ll feel like it’s your lips but better. Perfect for a no-makeup makeup look!
One common feature of all these products is their format; most of them come in a pencil shape. I find this incredibly practical and perfect for carrying anywhere. They’re not only aesthetically pleasing but also very practical and lightweight.
For my bold gals who love glitter, no worries—I also like to experiment more with makeup for special occasions or nights out, but I’ll dive into that in another post. What about you? Have you ever used any of the products I listed? Let me know in the comments!
