Hello there!
Today’s post is all about mastering the classic “denim on denim” look. It’s a style that may seem simple but can be surprisingly tricky to pull off without looking like a blue Teletubby—yes, that’s a reference you might need to Google! If you’re curious about how to nail this outfit, keep reading.
First, let’s talk about adding contrast to your look. The key is incorporating a standout piece that breaks up the denim. I’ve chosen a traditional camel trench coat to provide a stylish contrast to the medium blue of my denim. This coat not only adds dimension to the outfit but also enhances its character.
For the denim elements, I opted for a dark denim button-down shirt from Mango, which contrasts nicely with my lighter blue wide-leg jeans from Zara. The shirt’s slightly loose fit adds a contemporary, sophisticated touch, while the jeans are high-waisted with adjustable hems—perfect for a custom fit. These jeans have quickly become a staple in my wardrobe due to their comfort and versatility.
When it comes to footwear, my genuine leather cowboy boots from Zara are a standout. They are incredibly comfortable and stylish, making them a great addition to any denim outfit.
To complete the look, I chose my beloved Saint Laurent Loulou small crossbody bag in navy blue with silver hardware. Its shape and size are ideal for adding a chic touch while remaining practical.
Lastly, don’t forget to accessorize with a scarf. It’s an easy way to introduce a pop of color and add extra character to your outfit. It breaks up the monochrome look and gives your ensemble a fresh edge.
