Monochrome On-the-Go: Outfit Inspiration

Hello there! On these chilly days, even walking the dog can be a challenge. When my husband isn’t available to do it for me (haha), I need to get ready quickly while keeping my outfit comfy, cozy, and chic. This ensemble is easy to recreate and perfect for those freezing days. If you want to learn more, keep reading!

First things first: beanies and thick socks. When temperatures drop, a warm hat is essential to retain body heat. I love this khaki beanie from Zara so much that I also have it in black and cream. Next, let’s talk socks. They might seem like a minor detail, but they make a huge difference. I prefer socks from Zara and H&M, with H&M being softer. Opt for light colors like beige or grey for a contemporary, chic look.

Now, onto outerwear. I’m wearing a cropped “Japandi” style jacket from Zara’s Manteco Line in a beautiful stone grey. It’s lightweight yet warm, made of 100% wool. Its casual style pairs perfectly with simple pieces while maintaining a chic vibe. For this outfit, I chose my go-to cropped Levi’s 501 jeans in light grey. These are the best cropped straight jeans on the market. I paired them with a dark grey chunky V-neck knit for contrast against the jacket.

The key to a monochrome outfit is to play with textures and tonalities to keep the look interesting. My accessory of choice is the Mansur Gavriel mini bucket bag. This crossbody bag has been a staple for years and still looks as good as new. If you’re looking for a high-quality, mid-range bag, this is a great option. It’s perfect for a simple, minimalistic outfit like this.
