Luxe Layers with a Twist of Olive

Hello there,

Today’s post is all about the centerpiece of this outfit—my Manteco coat from Zara. In case you didn’t know, Zara has partnered for years with the Italian textile company Manteco, known for supplying the brand’s most luxurious fabrics, especially for coats and jackets. Yes, these pieces are a bit pricier than Zara’s usual outerwear, but the quality and design make them absolutely worth it.

Each winter, I treat myself to one or two new coats, and this year was no exception. I found the most beautiful olive green wool coat with an integrated scarf, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Not only does it keep me warm and cozy, but its elegant silhouette makes me look instantly put-together without any effort. Plus, the color is super wearable—it stands out in a sea of black and grey coats while still being versatile enough to pair with anything.

Underneath, I’m wearing a 100% wool oversized burgundy knit from Zara—such a gem. It’s warm, soft, and feels incredibly luxurious. I wish I had picked it up in more colors! If you’re shopping for knitwear, cashmere and wool are always the best options. They may cost a little more, but they keep you warm without adding bulk—perfect for staying stylish in the cold.

To balance the volume on top, I went with my dark grey turn-up hem jeans from Zara, which have a more fitted, straight-leg cut. I’m a jeans lover through and through, so there’s always a reason to add another pair to the rotation. But this shape is a timeless staple—if you don’t own a pair yet, definitely consider it!

For accessories, I kept it classic with my vintage Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 in Damier Ebene—one of my most worn bags ever. It’s not just spacious, it’s also incredibly easy to style (in my opinion, even easier than the monogram). I finished the look with a chunky gold necklace and my beloved all-black leather mid-calf cowboy boots to add contrast and dimension.

What do you think? Which piece is your favorite?
