The Biker Jacket That Changed My Mind

Hello there,

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always struggled to find the perfect biker leather jacket. Even back in my skinny days, I felt they looked too bulky on me. I’ve owned a few over the years, but somehow, I always ended up selling them. I love the look—it’s such a timeless classic—but after so many disappointments, I genuinely started to think this style just wasn’t meant for me.

That is, until I stumbled across this stunning oversized 100% leather biker jacket from Zara—and everything changed. I finally found the one.

If you’re like me and you’ve been hesitant to invest in a biker jacket because it never feels quite right, let me give you a tip: try an oversized one. Trust me. I feel like the traditional, fitted styles are starting to feel a bit outdated. Oversized biker jackets are not only chicer and more elegant, but also way more comfortable. Most biker jackets run small, and I always found myself sizing up—only to discover the sleeves were too tight or the shoulders too snug. But not this one. This one fits just right.

Now let’s talk styling. A striped tee and a leather jacket? Always a winning combo. I wore a long-sleeved, striped T-shirt from Zara for this look—what I love most is that it’s made from a technical fabric, so it keeps my temperature regulated throughout the day.

For bottoms, I couldn’t resist my favorite baggy balloon jeans from Zara. They’re hands-down the best jeans I own—super flattering, easy to style, and incredibly comfortable. If you’re mid-sized like me, I highly recommend giving them a try. They run a bit big, so size down. I’ve collected them in multiple washes, but for this look I chose a medium blue shade to keep it relaxed and casual.

Because the jacket is oversized and definitely the star of the show, I kept accessories to a minimum. I tend to lean toward silver jewelry when styling leather jackets, to match the hardware. For the bag, I opted for a structured top-handle style—a Bottega Veneta-inspired dupe I found on Amazon. I’d recommend avoiding crossbody bags with this kind of jacket, since they can add unnecessary bulk and visually disrupt the clean silhouette.

To finish the look, I slipped on my black-and-cream Adidas Samba OGs—my go-to sneakers. They’re such a staple that I own several pairs in different colorways, along with a few Gazelles (another must-have if you’re into fashion).

So, what about you?
Are you into biker jackets? Have you found your perfect one yet?
