Hi there! Today’s post is all about colors. Sometimes, it’s necessary to inject some color into our outfits to make them more interesting and playful. The summer season is the perfect time to do it. So, if you aren’t really into colors but are curious about how to add them in a subtle way, keep reading.
Let’s talk about this outfit to give you an idea of how to implement color simply. I’m wearing wide-leg Zara jeans in a medium blue shade, paired with a striped fuchsia button-down oversized shirt. These two pieces are very simple. Now, there’s a little piece that I believe is essential to quickly elevate any outfit where you can clearly see color blocks, like in this case: fuchsia and blue. That piece is a colorful scarf, which I chose in a beautiful and vibrant poppy green to make a statement.
Normally, the “rule” says that the scarf you choose must have one of the colors of your outfit. But in this case, this green works well because it is as vibrant as the fuchsia, so they complement each other perfectly. If you aren’t into scarves around your neck, there are a few other ways you can incorporate this element. For instance, you can attach it to your bag or put it around your hair. It’s really up to you.
Now let’s move on to the rest of the pieces: shoes, bag, and jewelry. Starting with the shoes, I highly recommend matching your wide-leg jeans with ballerinas. They look so good and are super comfy. In this case, I chose a braided gold pair from Zara. They are just perfect and bring a playful vibe to the whole look.
For the bag, I paired this ensemble with an off-white Chanel bag, which matches the stripes of my shirt and my ballerinas because its hardware is gold as well. As for jewelry, I believe that an outfit without this element isn’t complete. I like to layer up some gold chains and stack different kinds of bracelets. I really enjoy mixing and matching low and high pieces to provide more character to the whole outfit.
What do you think? How do you like to incorporate color into your outfits?
