Since I record, I’ve been always loved the Marni trunk bag due to its minimalist design, its modern metal closure and the block colors that are typical seen on these stunning bags. Another great feature of this bag it’s that we can really play with the length of the bag, so it’s really up to you if you want to wear it as a short shoulder strap type of bag or if you want to convert it in a short or long crossbody bag, the options are endless with her!
And because of the above, my obsession over this bag became a reality because I proudly own one of kind Marni piece. I totally felt in love with this beautiful color combination and its smooth leather and yes, I know that this type of leather is more prone to scratches but I don’t really like the saffiano leather, to me is not as luxury as the other one and that’s a down point for me.
Their interiors are also a plus because these accordion shape bags have few compartments and “secret” pockets, so you can really stuff it out but she won’t look bulky or out of shape because it’s a pretty structured, yet a soft bag. Another design bonus is that often their interiors have interesting patterns and color, which adds a fun twist to the bag. In my case, I’m a huge fan of stripes – so I love her even more.
Honestly if you are looking for a nice size quality designer bag and add a pop of color to your outfit in a discrete way, then the Marni Trunk bag is for you. Also, the price point is pretty good for its size and you can get a pretty good deal on the preloved market. I got mine brand new from Vestiaire Collective for a steal.
This amazing bag comes in two sizes but I highly recommend to get the medium size because the difference in price isn’t that much and also because I consider that it’s much prettier and practical on the bigger size. Beside that I can only say that this made in Italy bag is totally worthy, its craftmanship is exceptional and it’s elegant and chic silhouette made this bag a timeless piece.
On the negative side, I have to say that the bag is kind of heavy but I really don’t mind. The most important downside for me is that they don’t have a really good resell value, however, I’m not thinking to sell this beauty any time soon, actually never because I love her that much.
