Monochrome State of Mind

This outfit is one of my favorites because it’s sophisticated yet so easy to recreate—perfect for those days when you have things to do, but you’re tired and don’t want to overthink your look. You still want to feel fabulous and comfortable, right? The secret to looking stylish and polished (even when your energy is low) lies in putting together a neutral-toned ensemble that complements itself, creating depth and character effortlessly.

Now, let’s be honest—what’s easier: mixing bright colors and bold textures, or building an elegant look using timeless neutrals? Yes, exactly. Neutrals win every time. In this case, I threw on an oversized boxy blazer in a dark, brownish-black hue from Zara, and paired it with turn-up hem jeans in a washed grey-black shade to add some contrast.

Underneath, I layered a 100% wool jumper from Zara—ultra soft and cozy in a rich brown tone. To break up the monochrome and add some unexpected flair, I tied a silky burgundy and white scarf around my neck. This tiny detail brings the blazer and sweater to life in such a subtle, intentional way.

As for shoes, I’m wearing my oval-pointed boots from Mango, crafted in buttery soft cow leather with a comfortable block heel—so chic and ideal for walking around all day. Total gem!

And of course, no outfit is complete without a standout piece. For this look, I chose my vintage Chanel single flap bag. It can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody and instantly elevates the whole outfit with a refined, cool edge. Personally, I love mixing high and low elements—and vintage bags like this add a layer of authenticity and uniqueness you just don’t get with brand-new pieces. If you love vintage as much as I do, I highly recommend getting your hands on a vintage Chanel. The craftsmanship is unmatched, and the price point is usually much more accessible than current models.

So, what about you? Do you gravitate toward monochrome looks when you don’t want to stress about what to wear?
