Preppy Layers, Spring Mood

Hello there,

I absolutely love this time of year—flowers are blooming everywhere, and the weather is just right. Not too hot, not too cold—perfect for pulling out my beloved Clyde trench from Sézane. I bought it last fall, and it’s been one of my go-to wardrobe staples ever since. Spring also inspires me to play with brighter colors and fun combinations, like I did with this outfit.

For this ensemble, I went for a classic preppy style with a cool twist. I brought in timeless elements like my black leather loafers from Zara (last season’s find) and, of course, a camel trench coat—arguably one of the most iconic outerwear pieces. To modernize the look, I styled them with a pair of cropped flare off-white jeans and a denim button-down shirt from Mango.

As you probably know, the little details can make a big impact when styling an outfit. That’s why I never overlook accessories. In this case, the red and pink scarf really makes the trench pop—and that’s exactly the kind of visual depth we want. It’s all about adding contrasting pieces in color, design, or texture to elevate your look in a minimal but intentional way.

The bag is another key feature of this ensemble. It’s not just about practicality—it’s also an opportunity to mix textures and play with high-low fashion. I love combining designer pieces with high street staples from brands like Zara or Mango. It adds personality and keeps the outfit interesting. Sure, I’d love to wear designer head to toe someday—but for now, mixing it all up is part of the fun.

Here, I went with my Le Grand Bambino in ivory from Jacquemus. I had been dreaming about this bag for ages. It’s modern, super stylish, and instantly adds edge and freshness to any outfit. If you ever feel like something is missing, this kind of accessory can totally transform the vibe and give you that effortless cool factor.

What about you? Do you like to mix high and low pieces in your looks?
