Vintage Louis Vuitton Nano Noé

Hello there!

Today’s post is a review of my Louis Vuitton Nano Noé bag in its original version, launched in 2015 as the mini version of the iconic Noé bag, which was created in 1932 by the fashion house to transport five bottles of champagne. In 2022, this tiny bag was relaunched in a more updated and modern version, making the original one discontinued. However, this didn’t make me get rid of it—I love it so much that I know it will be in my collection forever. If you’re wondering why, keep reading.

Why I Chose It

As a micro-mini bag lover, my affection for Louis Vuitton grew over time. Initially, I found the monogram a bit tacky, but gradually, I began to see the canvas pieces as statement items. I became obsessed and decided to get this mini bag to test it out. It exceeded my expectations, leading me to do something I never thought I would—get a Neverfull GM. The rest is history.

Features

This bag is very simple; it’s essentially a “big-tiny hole” that fits all your essentials. Despite its size, it’s quite roomy and super practical with easy access. Plus, it’s beautifully made.

Where Did I Buy It?

I bought it from Vestiaire Collective, where I’ve purchased most of my bags. This one was in pristine condition, complete with its original box, dust bag, and receipt. However, the price was the same as retail because this bag is hard to find in stores.

Cons

While this bag is almost perfect, the strap isn’t adjustable, which could be a downside for some. Personally, I find it sits beautifully on my frame when worn crossbody. It can also be used as a shoulder bag, but it might sit a bit too low on the body. Another potential downside is the vachetta leather combined with the monogram canvas. This untreated cowhide leather is delicate and prone to staining from water or changing color over time. However, this can be managed by treating the leather with a special spray.

Would I Purchase It Again?

Absolutely. I love this bag. It’s one of my favorite mini bags, and I use it a lot, especially during summer and spring when it’s not raining.

Final Advice

If you’re considering adding this bag to your collection, go for it! If you’re debating between this model and the new version, both are incredibly cute, with their own pros and cons. Since this original version is discontinued, you’ll need to buy it through second-hand platforms. Make sure to find a trustworthy reseller, as the market is flooded with counterfeit items. I highly recommend Vestiaire Collective, eBay, or even Vinted, as these platforms offer authentication services and can verify the condition of the bag.
