Lately, I’ve been drawn to a chocolate waxed long coat from Zara, and honestly—what a find! I’ve always been a fan, but I feel like Zara has stepped up its game in terms of quality and design. Or maybe that’s just my impression? Either way, I couldn’t be happier with this coat—even strangers have stopped me on the street to ask where it’s from!
This oversized waxed long coat comes in two sizes: XS–S and M–L, and I went for the latter. The details on this coat are incredible—from the functional pockets and back button closure to the rich brown velvet lapels and sleeve cuffs that reveal a luxe touch when folded up. It even has a small buckle belt at the neck, making it feel beautifully curated and elevated.
How I Styled It
Although the coat is long and slightly heavy, it’s not the warmest, but that’s no issue because I always layer underneath. My go-to base layer? Uniqlo Heattech long-sleeve tees—they’re like a second skin, super thin yet warm, and an absolute winter essential. Over that, I added a grey cotton sweatshirt from Zara, which perfectly complements my casual style.
For bottoms, I went with my navy balloon-shaped jeans from Zara—my current obsession. These jeans are effortlessly cool, flattering on any body type, and add that chic, laid-back vibe to any outfit. I personally prefer the baggy fit, as they drape beautifully, but I recommend sizing down since they run a bit large.
The Finishing Touches
Accessories can truly make or break an outfit, so I love incorporating pops of color, prints, and textures to add personality. This time, I wore my leopard-print Ganni baseball cap, which not only elevates the look but also keeps my hair in place on windy days.
To carry my essentials, I chose none other than my mini Bou Ganni bag in silver—a statement piece that adds just the right amount of edge.
